And just like that, today, my travel plans have changed, not once but twice for two separate trips. One trip was for business and the other was for school. The good news is that I am able to shift, without any major complications, and make some changes in my plans and life continues on. I…

The little things
I am grateful for being able to take some time to spend with family and friends. We should not travel alone in this life and family and friends are usually there for us. I had a great couple of days with both family and friends this past weekend.
Growth
Today I am grateful for the growth that I have gone through this past decade, the continued growth of myself and the people that are around me. It really is great to see the productive movement of a positive life. It is what keeps me coming back, smiling, each day.
WOW!
What a week! I have been in two states, California and Washington, three different regions of California all within four days. I was able to sleep well last night, so I am functioning well today. Today has been productive, from kayaking in upper Newport Beach Harbor, (Back Bay), for one class; getting some work done…
‘Bout Time
Time passed so slow when I was younger; now it slips through my fingers and my toes and I am not able to grasp it. I am guessing that as we get older, we become busier and there doesn’t seem to be enough time. Enjoy the little moments where you are happy to let time…
So many
Once again, I will state, there are so many things to be grateful for. If you are prepared to do the work you can do anything that you want. There are so many resources available. I am grateful for all these resources, this knowledge and the drive to change my life and the lives of…
Celebrate
This past Sunday we, my family, celebrated my mother and her love for this world. It was a wonderful three-part celebration. We started at Crystal Cove State Beach, moved to a church in Laguna Beach and finished off at the home of my younger sister in SJC. We, the family were joined by friends and…
It’s a wonderful life
The other day a very good friend marveled at how I have “reinvented” my life. He is correct; two years ago I would never have thought that I would be working on a charter boat or captaining a boat. I have always know that I would eventually move to a living unit by the ocean;…
It’s a mariner thing
This past week has been busy! Busy working a charter early Tuesday morning, busy with my homework for the classes that I am enrolled in as I work to obtain my AS in Marine Activities and busy working on my partners boat. All of this is so that I am more than comfortable taking some…
Rock and Roll
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending a Rammestein concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum; it was their last concert in the United States for their current stadium tour. Joining me at the concert was my oldest child and my older brother. They flew down from Northern California to attend. We had…
Wings of an Angel
This past Friday morning I received a call from my younger sister, very early morning, letting me know that our mother had joined our father and other family members up in heaven. I am so grateful that my mother, a force her whole life, is no longer suffering; sitting in a wheelchair, having to be…
