Surge

This past weekend a volcano erupted in the ocean by the Island of Tonga; this created a Tsunami in the Pacific Ocean. From what I understand the coasts of Oregon and Northern California were hardest hit on the West Coast of the United States. Fortunately, Southern California, where my partner has her boat, was not hit too hard. There was a rather serious surge in the current but in her marina, there was no damage.

I am grateful that we do not take her boat security lightly, that the lines that secure the boat to the dock are checked regularly and the bilge pumps work. I am grateful that there are neighbors at the marina who checked on her boat to make sure that everything was okay. In the end everything was just fine; I am grateful for that as well.
