This past Sunday I watched the Indy 500, almost in it’s entirety; about lap 100 I ran to the store to purchase some groceries and made it back in time to see the last 48 laps of the race. What a race! I have not watched the Indy race for a very long time; Sunday I didn’t have to be anywhere and I could feel my grandfather and my mother’s second husband, Papa Gene, telling me to relax and put on the race. If you don’t know, the winner won by 0.018th of a second. That is the closest finish in the history of the race.
I am grateful for the relaxing weekend that I enjoyed. I am grateful for the life that I am living. I am grateful that I have a wonderful lady in my life who helps me strive to make myself better, which allows me to strive to make the world better for all.
