Today I spent most of my day aboard a yacht in Newport Beach California and then at a lecture being held at a local Yacht Club in Long Beach California. Both of these events is furthering my education in nautical living. On the yacht I was learning about tending dock lines, using a windlass as you raise and lower the anchor and general maintenance and procedures. The lecture at the Yacht Club was about general maintenance on marine diesel engines. It was a great day.

Today I am very grateful for the people in this world who are willing to share their knowledge. I have stated before that I am always looking to further my education, so I am very grateful for the people who are willing to instruct. I also enjoy educating people who want to learn. Education leads to a better life in this world!
