“Lamb”, said the Lion, “I am here.” For some reason my title just put that sentence into my head. It comes from a book that was read to me one time as a child. I believe the premise was that the lion was wanting to eat the lamb but the lamb was always able to talk him out of it. In the end, the lion just want to rest next to the lamb. I am not saying that they became friends, but they were able to rest next to each other.
I think that if we listen to our neighbors, co-workers and people around us, understand that each one of us is different and that we may not see a situation the same, there may be more compassion shared. I am far from being perfect. In fact a wise, beautiful lady councils me repeatedly to look at things from the other person’s point of view. I do try to look at every one as a human; I try to be color blind when it comes to the human race. If you need help, I will do my best at that time. I have compassion; it is either less or more considering the type of day that I am having.
Expanding on my post from this past Tuesday, I am grateful for the beautiful lady who shares her council with me and who loves me even when I am not perfect. “All you need is love.” This is written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; think if this world was only full of love and not fear. Michael Jackson asked us to look at the “Man in the Mirror” and begin there.
I am grateful that I do love myself and that I am able to share my love with others. Live in Peace and live in Love; begin with yourself!
