A couple of weeks ago my partner handed me a box of cards with notes written on each card. The box was from Don Miguel Ruiz and each card corolates with his Four Agreements. Reading his book, The Four Agreements, is what set me on my path to wanting to change the way I look at things and to try and make this world a better place for all to live.

The first agreement is to be impeccable with your word. I pulled the first card out of the box not knowing what to expect and the card spoke to me. So every day at work, especially, I am working hard to be impeccable with my word; to speak the truth in a positive sense. I work to be supportive with everyone, yet still call out the weakness in a statement or situation. For a sarcastic person like myself, releasing the sarcastic response and replacing it with a positive truth, is not always easy.

I am grateful that she handed me this box and reminded me of principals that I choose to live by. Thank you. I love you!
