Tonight I am grateful for my voice; full & timid. Asleep and alive. I am grateful for the Spirit communicating while I survive…
I sing. I shudder. I fall.
Don’t really know what I’m doing…
At all
And though the wind blows fiercely
You still will hear my call
And tonight I’m only grateful for my voice. The words I stutter still
are my choice. And my Spirit joins together in this universal chorus…
Tonight knows no boundaries within.
I’ve burned brightly; lit up by sin.
And you may think because I’m absent
That you win.
But tonight i am dreaming in my voice. The darkness that surrounds me, points to a finish line. And the diction and weight; beyond time.
