I am grateful for the exuberant joy of punk ethics.
I am finding myself going back to the beautiful noise of the 70s; the energy is uplifting as more and more chaos erupts around the world.
We are not alone America; fascism and pig-headed politics is finding a foothold all over the world.
A friend shared the sentiment today that fascism exists in an environment of anger and fear. Joy and Love are the balms for healing the narrow views fear and anger bring.
A while ago, I felt the urge to call out the NPR nazis (i refuse to capitalize that word) I saw running around like chickens with their heads cut-off… me believing they were as much a part of the problem as the racist bigots coming more and more into power. I think my friend’s sentiment hit the nail on the head. If you’re just angry, even righteous anger,
Sure, be angry. Be exasperated, irritated, provoked. Have fun being so.
Punk is fun. Punk pokes fun.
Take the hit; laugh it off. If you’re just angry, you’re fueling the fire.
Throw myself against a wall. Rather feel bad then nothing at all.
