Adaption

This weekend I am officiating a huge, national soccer tournament. I went to check into my hotel room, that the tournament booked for me, only to be told that they did not have a reservation for me. I called one of the contacts that I had and was told to send her and another gentleman an email letting them know. So I did; thank goodness for smart phones.

After I sent my email I received a reply from a third gentleman, whom I did not email, letting me know that my hotel reservation had been changed. No problem. I went to the new hotel, checked in, received my 2 cookies and 2 bottles of water, now I am sitting back and relaxing while I hydrate.

I could have been upset at the lack of communication, having to sit in traffic on the way to the new hotel, instead I am choosing to look at the positive:

  1. I am closer to the fields in the new hotel.
  2. There is a jacuzzi at the new hotel.
  3. There is a real restaurant at the new hotel.

I am grateful that I am able to find the positive things in life instead of dwelling on the negatives.
