In our leadership meeting this morning at work, we had to share what our word for the year is and why that is our word. Again, I shared that my word is Faith. The reason that this is my word is that over the Christmas break there were a lot of messages, sublimily, telling me to trust in God and that the power of prayer is real.
I often ask God to grant me the power to hear him when he is speaking to me and the wisdom to know that he is showing me the way. As I was driving home today the thought popped into my head that I should call one my best friends, check in on him this new year. I am glad that I did. His mother in-law, who lived with him and his wife, passed away this morning. I told him that the man upstairs told me to call him; his reply was that with me and my family, he belived me.
I am grateful for the moments when I do hear God talking to me. I am even more grateful when I choose to listen.
