Well even though they lost tonight, I am grateful that the Dodgers are in the World Series. If they had not made it this far, like several previous years, I would not watch or care about the World Series. That reality is a little sad for me because my grandfather was a huge fan of baseball. It did not matter who was playing he enjoyed the game. In August you could walk into Pop’s house and he would be sitting in his “easier” chair watching a game on the television, listening to a different game on his stereo and have a third game on his transistor radio next to his chair.
There have been some good games played in this series, with some good hitting and defensive plays. Being a Dodger fan it has been fun to watch, of course. This series has allowed me to think of my grandfather and the good times that he and I shared, watching baseball on his television together.
