I am very grateful that I have the ability to learn and retain what I have learned. A little over a week ago a friend showed me how to bleed the fuel lines on a generator; this is on a boat that I captain. What he showed be was different than what is in the generator manual. After bleeding the lines we started the generator and had it running for about three minutes before it shut off.
Today bled the lines again, started the generator and kept it running. The real test was when I switched the power at the breaker panel from “Shore” to “Generator”, putting the electrical load on the generator. Everything kept running; no power loss on the voltage meter at all. Yes I am very grateful that I am learning new things, especially in the marine industry. I love the ocean and any other body of water.
