Well the race is over; after sailing over 125 nautical miles and 44 hours the vessel that I was sailing on made it into Ensenada.  We came in dead last!  About a day behind most of the other competitors.

So I am grateful that we did this race for several reasons:

1. We plan on racing the TransPac race together and we needed to make sure that we all could get along for over two weeks.
2. We needed to sail 150 continuous nautical miles to qualify for the TransPac race and we accomplished this.
3. I need more days on the sea so that I can qualify for my captains license.

So any day on the water is a good day and even though it was slow, it was fun.
