My mother, resident of Nicaragua right now, turned eighty last June.
She’s showing me how young eighty is.
She’s teaching me to be brave and follow your heart; if you do, life’s always an adventure.
She teaches me that people are people all over the world.
AND – I’m grateful for her self-reliance. It is difficult to care for another when their full livelihood relies on your energy.
I know some friends who’s hands and life is full with caring for a parent. It is a challenge for most.
So I am very grateful for my mother’s autonomy…
