…..grateful for.  Today is my mother in-law’s 75th birthday; she may not be as spry as my mother, who is a couple of years older than her, but she is still very young at heart.  So I am grateful for that.  I was able to spend yesterday afternoon with my daughter, hanging out in the office of an orthopedist, but afterwards we went shopping together.  It was cool and I am a sucker for my “little, little”, so any quality time spent with this teenage beauty, I am grateful for.  This past Sunday, she, her mother and I hung out on a beach in Capitola.  It was an absolutely beautiful day, with some great waves breaking, we had one of our dogs with us.  My daughter knows that I am a sucker and that the beach is my biggest weakness.

Today I had a great conversation, via email, with two of my peers at PoolCorp.  Some day, we may be able to make some changes for the better at this great company.  I then attended a WERC lunch meeting, where the topic of discussion was Intermodal shipping.  I actually learned something, that might save my facility some money, when I have to pay for freight coming from the mid-west.

Yep, I am still grateful for life!
