Yesterday I was able to spend the day with my wife, daughter and a nephew at a wonderful little beach, just south of Santa Cruz.  It was an absolutely beautiful day!  The sun was shining, the water wasn’t too cold and we had a great time hanging out.  My daughter wanted to go to a beach that had shells, this one did.  There were people there that had their dogs running around, so that was fun to watch and play with as well.  There were families with young children, so my nephew quickly made friends and had a great time.

It was a day like I like to think, a day at the beach should be.  A day like this spent lying on the sand and going in and out of the ocean, always seems to soothe my soul and wash trouble away.  There wasn’t much surf, which is always a disappointment for me, but made it safer for the children playing in the water, therefore less stress, trying to keep an eye on them. We even saw a couple of sea lions and one sea otter; it was a very cool day.

My daughter had a good time, my wife enjoyed the day and I am ready to go back.  There was a little house for sale, across the street from this little cove.  Maybe….hmmm.

For such a wonderful day.  I am grateful.
